The Four Lakes SnoFest 2014 took place place Saturday. Even though our day was packed with things happening (Saturday School, soccer, basketball, etc.), I managed to make it over to the hill twice: once in the morning and once at night. I missed the Rail Jam and Big Air Contest, but did say hi to a bunch of folks and bought cheeseburgers from the Ski Patrol and Ski School BBQ. At night most of the family went to check out the Torch Light Parade and Fireworks – it was cool to see all the skiers coming down the mountain, flares in hand. Maybe next year I’ll take part! The fireworks were WAY better than we expected, really a professional effort. Proceeds benefit the Four Lakes Ski Patrol and Ski School, so it’s not just a fun day but also a great way to support those two groups.
